All Moved In & Pre-term Labor

Well, we are all moved in to our new place. Very exciting! Christmas lights go up outside this weekend and painting the nursery should commence soon. Kason loves it here and is happy to have his puppies back (unless they get in his face). He has lots of new buddies in the neighborhood to play with, both young and old, and he can't get enough of all the attention!

If you didn't already know, I went to and was admitted to the hospital two days ago for pre-term labor. Thankfully, my labor contractions were stopped with a series of three shots of terbutaline. I am now on procardia, a drug to prevent labor contractions, every 6 hours. I am still contracting a bit on the procardia, but it is keeping them mild, so hopefully, no changes to my cervix. I will be on these meds for at least 3 weeks and then, we will see what is next. I personally think I just overdid it with moving and getting settled and am hoping the contractions stop completely soon.

I will see the high-risk group soon for an ultrasound to check cervical length and get further directions. Right now, I am just taking it easy and hoping I don't get put on full bedrest. Unfortunately, though, we will have to miss out on Thanksgiving with my family in North Texas. It was supposed to be our last trip before Emily arrives, but alas, it has to be canceled. Kyle will be cooking us a nice Thanksgiving dinner here at home. Have I mentioned how wonderful he has been? Due to the hospital's flu season visitation policy, he couldn't come, because he couldn't bring Kason. But, he was checking in on me often and listening to me cry because I wanted Emily to be ok and to come home to my little boy. He has been taking care of everything around the house and all without complaint. I am truly blessed to be married to such a wonderful man!

Well, that's all for now. I will update when I have more news.
