Well, I said I would update after Kason's well baby check last week, but with all the illness around here, never got a chance. Kason got sick the night before his appointment with a cold. Good timing, huh? The doctor prescribed him some cough medicine and antibiotics, since he was in the beginning stages of an ear infection. Sleep for him and us was torture for a good week. Heck, even woke up screaming a few times last night. He is seeming to get better, though. Unfortunately, today, his cough and congestion got so bad he threw up all over himself and me. Poor kid. I really hope he shakes this thing soon.
Next in line was me. I have been coughing horribly for a good 4-5 days now. Feeling a little better now, but still very congested. Kyle missed the brunt of it, just getting a sore throat.
The scary part is that Emily is now coughing and congested. I took her to the pedi yesterday. With my hacking cough, he is concerned about RSV. But, he did say if we could avoid fever and difficulty breathing for 3-4 days, we should be in the clear. Today is day 3 and so far, so good. She is just really congested and uncomfortable with her cough.
Please pray for all of us to heal and especially for little Emily, who is one month old today! If her illness gets anymore severe, it will inevitably be a hospital stay, and we would really like to avoid that.
The stats for both:
Kason - 18 months, 26lb 13oz (he lost a bit with his illness), and 33.5 inches long. He also still has a very big head - 19.5 inches, I think (89%)
Emily - 1 month, 9lb 1 oz, and 21 inches long. A bit smaller than Kason at the same age, but 50% all around.
